BANK OFFICIALS CALL ON PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR

Officials from the Asian Development
Bank (ADB) Pakistan Resident Mission, led by Mr. Asad Aleem, Deputy
Country Director and concurrently Country Operations Head, paid a
courtesy call on Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez at the Philippine
Embassy in Islamabad on 4 November 2025. The meeting reaffirmed the longstanding partnership between the Philippines and the Asian Development Bank in promoting sustainable economic growth and regional development. Both sides exchanged views on ways to enhance coordination and institutional cooperation, particularly in facilitating ADB activities and development initiatives that involve the Philippines and Pakistan. Ambassador Fernandez welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for ADB's continued role in advancing inclusive development across Asia and the Pacific. He also highlighted the Philippines' enduring relationship with ADB, whose headquarters are located in Manila, as a symbol of the country's commitment to regional cooperation and economic resilience. Mr. Aleem, for his part, conveyed ADB's appreciation to the Philippine Embassy for its consistent support and professionalism in facilitating its officials' engagements and official travel to the Philippines. The meeting concluded on a cordial note, with both sides expressing confidence that the close partnership between the Embassy and ADB will continue to contribute to the region's shared goals of sustainable growth, institutional collaboration, and people-centered development. |
