Philippines PARTICIPATES IN HIGH-LEVEL ASEAN-PAKISTAN STRATEGIC DIALOGUE

Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez represented the Philippines at the high-level Working Lunch Dialogue convened by H.E. Mr. Rongvudhi Virabutr, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand and Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Islamabad (ACI), on 30 October 2025 at the Royal Thai Embassy.

The engagement provided an opportunity for the Philippines to join fellow ASEAN member-states and senior Pakistani leaders, H.E. Mr. Anwaar ul-Haq Kakar and H.E. Mr. Jalil Abbas Jilani, in a substantive exchange on Pakistan' evolving strategic partnerships with the United States, China, and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Ambassador Fernandez underscored the Philippines' commitment to advancing ASEAN-Pakistan dialogue, including on shared priorities in regional security, economic resilience, and constructive multilateral engagement.
