PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR ATTENDS 71st JAPAN SELF-DEFENCE FORCES DAY

Islamabad, 30 October 2025 - His Excellency Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez and his spouse, Madame Alice Kalaw-Fernandez, attended the 71st Japan Self‑Defense Forces (JSDF) Day on 30 October 2025 at the Marriott Hotel, Islamabad. The event was hosted by His Excellency Mr. Akamatsu Shuichi, the Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, and his spouse, Mrs. Yumiko Akamatsu.

Ambassador Fernandez's presence at the occasion served as a powerful testament to the enduring strength and growing depth of Japanese-Philippine diplomatic relations. His participation underscored the shared values of cooperation, peace and mutual respect between our two countries.

At the reception, Ambassador Fernandez had the opportunity to engage with distinguished representatives from the Japanese diplomatic corps, senior military and defence officials, leaders of Pakistan's government and the diplomatic community, as well as members of the business and private sectors. The occasion provided an ideal setting to reaffirm the Philippines' commitment to multilateral security cooperation and regional stability.
