Islamabad, 24 October 2025 - His
Excellency Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez attended the Austrian
National Day Reception hosted by the new Austrian Ambassador to
Pakistan, His Excellency Mr. Wolfgang Oliver Kutschera, and Mrs. Susanne
Hohel, at their Official Residence in Islamabad on 24 October 2025. The reception brought together members of the diplomatic corps, government officials, and friends of Austria to commemorate the Austrian National Day, which marks the country's enduring commitment to peace, neutrality, and international cooperation. Ambassador Fernandez's presence at the event underscored the Philippines' commitment to maintaining and further strengthening its long-standing and friendly relations with Austria. The Philippines and Austria have enjoyed over six decades of diplomatic ties characterized by mutual respect, productive collaboration, and shared advocacy for peace and sustainable development. The event also served as an opportunity for Ambassador Fernandez to convey his warm felicitations to Ambassador Kutschera and to express the Philippines' continued interest in deepening bilateral cooperation in various areas, including trade, culture, education, and people-to-people exchanges. |
