LEADER FROM MAROOF HOSPITAL SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH PH AMBASSADOR FOR
COMMUNITY HEALTH INITIATIVES

The Philippine Ambassador, Dr.
Emmanuel R. Fernandez, received a courtesy call on 15 October 2025 from
Ms. Catherine Bordon Manana, Chief of Nursing at Maroof
International Hospital, one of Islamabad's leading private
healthcare institutions. With about two decades of professional experience, Ms. Manana has been serving as Maroof's Chief of Nursing for the past two years. During her meeting with Ambassador Fernandez and the Philippine Embassy's Vice Consul Rainelda Mendoza, she expressed her desire to collaborate on community health outreach programs that would benefit the Filipino community in Pakistan. Ms. Manana offered to mobilize Maroof Hospital's resources to support future Embassy outreach activities through free medical and dental check-ups, psychological wellness consultations, and emergency preparedness training. The initiative, supported by Maroof Hospital's management as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), aims to promote the health and well-being of Filipinos in Pakistan. The Embassy welcomed this initiative as a meaningful opportunity to expand its welfare services and strengthen institutional linkages with the local health sector-underscoring once again the vital contributions of Filipino professionals in Pakistan's healthcare community. |
