PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR HOLDS DIALOGUE WITH THE LAHORE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

LAHORE, 19-20 November 2025-Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez and his spouse, Mme. Alicia Kalaw-Fernandez, along with the Philippine Embassy's Vice Consul Rain Mendoza, undertook a two-day official visit to Lahore, reinforcing the Philippines' engagement with Punjab provincial authorities, local business and educational institutions, and the Filipino community in the city. They were accompanied by the Philippine Honorary Consul for Lahore, Mr. Fahdel Sheikh, and his spouse Mme. Sadia Sheikh; as well as the Philippine Consul General for Karachi, Dr. Imran Yousuf.

After meeting with the Chief Minister of Punjab, officials of the Young Parliamentarians Forum, members of the Filipino Community in Lahore, and officials of the Avicenna Medical and Dental College, the Ambassador and his delegation concluded the two-day official visit with a meeting at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), where they engaged with local business groups and academic institutions. Discussions explored opportunities for expanded trade, investment, and academic exchanges with the Philippines.
