PH AMBASSADOR ATTENDS GERMAN UNITY DAY CELEBRATION IN ISLAMABAD

Islamabad, 9 October 2025 - His Excellency, Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez, together with his spouse, Madame Alice Kalaw-Fernandez, honored the celebration of German Unity Day held at the Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The event was hosted by Her Excellency Ina Lepel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Pakistan.

The programme featured as Chief Guest His Excellency Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting, who in his address extended warm congratulations to the people and Government of Germany on the occasion of its national day. He underscored the commitment of Pakistan to further deepen bilateral cooperation and foster mutual understanding between both nations.

Ambassador Fernandez's presence at the reception reinforces the Philippines' strong diplomatic ties with Germany and signals the continuing friendship and shared values between Manila and Berlin. The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, senior government officials, business and academic leaders, and other distinguished guests, underlining the broad support for German Pakistani cooperation.
