SENATE OFFICIALS PAY COURTESY CALL ON AMBASSADOR FERNANDEZ AHEAD OF ISC 2025 |

Ms. Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan and
Ambassador for the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference (ISC), and
Mr. Tariq Bin Waheed, Senior Director General (Protocol/IPR) of the
Senate of Pakistan, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Emmanuel R.
Fernandez last 08 October 2025. The Senate officials briefed Ambassador Fernandez on the upcoming Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference (ISC) scheduled to be held in Islamabad on 11-12 November 2025, which aims to promote dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding among parliaments worldwide. The visiting officials also conveyed letters from the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan addressed to Leaders of the Philippine Congress, together with information brochures and registration materials related to the event. Ambassador Fernandez expressed appreciation for the visit and for the Senate's gesture of personally delivering the invitations and materials. Both sides exchanged views on the importance of inter-parliamentary dialogue and maintaining strong communication between legislative institutions in fostering international understanding. |
