PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR RECEIVES HONORARY ADVISOR TO FEDERAL MINISTER FOR NATIONAL HERITAGE AND CULTURE |

Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez
received Mr. Usman Shah, Honorary Advisor to the Federal Minister for
National Heritage and Culture, during a courtesy call on 7 November 2025
at the Philippine Chancery in Islamabad. Their meeting underscored the shared interest of the Philippines and Pakistan in advancing cultural exchange, creative collaboration, and economic linkages. Mr. Shah briefed the Ambassador on ongoing cultural initiatives, including the Lok Virsa Festival, which highlights food, music, and traditional attire from different countries, and invited the Embassy to explore greater participation in future editions. Both sides also discussed potential collaborative cultural programs such as musical and artistic showcases featuring Filipino performers, as well as investment opportunities in hospitality, tourism, and the creative industries. Mr. Shah also expressed his intention to visit the Philippines in December to learn more about the country's rich cultural landscape and explore partnerships with Filipino universities and business groups. The engagement forms part of the Embassy's ongoing efforts to strengthen people-to-people ties and promote Philippine culture, tourism, and investment prospects in Pakistan-a key component of its broader economic and cultural diplomacy agenda. |
