PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR REAFFIRMS FRIENDLY RELATIONS BETWEEN THE PHILIPPINES AND AZERBAIJAN |

His Excellency Dr. Emmanuel R.
Fernandez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic
of the Philippines to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, together with
his spouse, Madame Alicia Kalaw-Fernandez, graced the Diplomatic
Reception in honour of the 5th Anniversary of Victory Day of the
Republic of Azerbaijan, which was held at the Movenpick Hotel in
Islamabad last 05 November 2025. The reception was hosted by His
Excellency Mr. Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan
to Pakistan, and his spouse. The Chief Guest of the evening was His
Excellency Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Acting President of the Islamic
Republic of Pakistan. Ambassador Fernandez's attendance at the reception underscored the Philippines' strong desire to further strengthen diplomatic and friendly relations with Azerbaijan. His presence reaffirmed the longstanding goodwill, mutual respect and shared interests between the Philippines and Azerbaijan. The evening brought together members of the diplomatic corps, distinguished guests from government, business and civil society, and friends of Azerbaijan in Pakistan. The warm interactions at the event reflected the spirit of friendship and partnership that characterises Philippines-Azerbaijan relations. |
