NEWLY ARRIVED PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR-DESIGNATE MEETS ASEAN HEADS OF MISSION IN ISLAMABAD

ISLAMABAD, 8 April 2025 – The ASEAN Committee in Islamabad (ACI) welcomed the newly arrived Ambassador-designate of the Republic of the Philippines at a courtesy meeting held on 8 April 2025. The gathering brought together the heads and representatives of ASEAN Missions in Pakistan—Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam—to extend a warm reception to the Filipino envoy.

Held at the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Islamabad, the meeting served as an opportunity for the Ambassador-designate to make initial contact with his ASEAN colleagues in Islamabad, demonstrating the tradition of regional camaraderie that underscores ASEAN’s collective spirit.

All the ASEAN Committee members expressed mutual goodwill and reaffirmed their commitment to upholding ASEAN unity and cooperation in Pakistan. The Ambassador-designate thanked the ACI for its hospitality and looks forward to productive engagements in support of ASEAN’s shared objectives. END
